Hes getting ready for a Sunderland Cup humiliation as well after these comments, there supporters should be careful what they wished for when they applauded his appointment..................feel sorry for any of there travelling support, the few who do go down to Arsenal will wish they hadn't, sounds like hes thrown in the towel already.

"Of course I'm going to make changes for our Cup tie at Arsenal on Saturday," Allardyce told the Guardian. "If the Premier League decides to put a stupid fixture midweek when they don't bloody need to, then I haven't got much choice.

Re: Be careful what you wish for!
Allardyce was a necessary evil after the boards errors and to be fair he did at times do a good job. We had one of the best away records in our promotion season - though at home was a different matter, it was still great to enjoy some away wins. He was never going to be a Fan favourite - everything he does is for himself, he is long corrupted by an overblown self importanceg and greed but he laid the current teams foundations and got us promoted at the first time of trying.

We're in 6th, have a young forward thinking manager who understands the fans along with some of the most creatively exciting players in 25 years. We genuinely could finish in the top 6 having beaten the best this country has in their own backyard. The best Allardyce could do was an almost impossible job with an awful team from a shit hole in the far north who will probably get relegated and be playing at Burton next season.

I think it's time to stop talking about Sam Allardyce

No - definitely 32 from 20. We drew with WBA on new years day.

Re: Be careful what you wish for!
The thing about 'giving up' sums up the different in quality for me. As a player with limited ability, Allardyce regularly rolled over and gave up, and looked it. As a manager, with a massive ego and paypacket he continued with his playing days mentality. FFS a manager who 'gave up' when he knew he wasn't getting a better deal! How anyone can find anything admirable in that is beyond me.
Someone with character would prove what the owners were missing in that situatuon, not bow their heads and shuffle off without bothering. And we're talking about one of the best paid managers in the division.

Bilic as a player never gave up. I remember Pearce trying to run off his broken leg and Bilic was the same. That character shines through the team for me. Even when we're not playing well and things aren't going our way, they battle on. I never want to watch any manager or player throw games or rollover again.

God forbid I should defend BFS but at least compare like for like which I believe is quite similar.

However the style of football is far better and we go into 2016 full of optimism.

all about opinions of course but it's difficult to have any respect for anyone who didn't want rid of the fat cunt at the end of last season.

Slaven Bilic v José Mourinho last 20 games... I know who I would prefer at the helm.
Form is temporary

I assume you mean Jose but why? Typically a defence minded manager, with a massive ego who would think he's bigger than the club

Bilic for me anyday, and for the majority of fans too I imagine (could be wrong though)

Having had a look at Apple's posting history shows up what a dizzy cunt he is.

Two pointless threads, one incorrect assumption about who the new manager would be and three different threads about sex articles.

Fist.

Re: Be careful what you wish for!
The minimum length of time to pass judgement is over a season. Our half term report is encouraging and we expect our full season to bring us more points at the end of this season than last.

BFS re-established us but when, after a better than expected start, our performances petered out last season it was clearly time for him to go. If we do finish in the top eight this season it will be difficult to emulate as Swansea and Southampton are illustrating. Managers have a way of building up a momentum and then find it difficult to sustain [ often because their Board's sell off several vital team members ]. It is important that we only sell fringe players in the close season.

Re: Be careful what you wish for!
But the main point surely is something that can't be shown as a stat. And that is that we now have a manager that we admire and respect.

whufcroe 3:26 Mon Jan 4
Re: Be careful what you wish for!
The fact was as soon as BFS knew he wasn't being offered a new deal he wanted to leave and as good as gave up. He didn't want to be here, the board didn't want him and most of the fans didn't, that then rubs off on the players and staff.

Bilic I'm hopeful isn't going to give up so I would expect better.

Still I have no idea why the idiots keep wanting to come back to this subject when it's been done to death.
